This landmark Lititz, PA restaurant, established in 1764, brings our colonial heritage together with elegant modern touches. Inspired dinner cuisine featuring Filet Mignon, Lobster and Truffle Mac and Cheese, seafood and vegetarian dishes is complimented by our continental wine list, which features local wines from Waltz Vineyards and others. Lunch features soups, artful salads and lunch plates spanning Grilled Salmon to Fish and Chips to Vegetable and Tofu Curry.
Since August 2009, our head chef Mark Blevins has been adding his artful touch to the General Sutter Inn restaurant menus with his Modern American cuisine with Asian and Southwestern influences. Lobster and Truffle Mac and Cheese, Petit Wagyu Beef Strip, and Vegetable and Tofu Curry are just a few of the elegantly delicious items unique to our dinner menu.
Years ago, Mark started at the General Sutter Inn with the former Chef, John Davenport. When John moved to join Bent Creek as Banquet Chef, Mark went with him as his assistant.
A few years later, Mark decided to move to Philadelphia and he worked at the extremely successful Steven Starr restaurant, Continental Midtown. Mark then went on to assist the opening of the Rittenhouse Square restaurant, Tavern 17.
We're happy to say that after about six years in Philly, Mark decided to move back to the Lancaster, PA area and join us as Executive Chef at the General Sutter Inn. He has fun with the menu and you will find new creations to choose from seasonally, sourcing food locally.
